"So Assad, all he had to do was just throw them on a truck, disperse them throughout other parts of Syria, and quite possibly have them used for battlefield rockets, or to prepare in case he feels that regime fall is coming." - From From THE 11TH HOUR WITH BRIAN WILLIAMS 4/7/17 Trump's strikes on Syria elicit both praise andcondemnation
What Nance says here continues to push the story forward, instead of regurgitating the same shallow sound byte over and over, which is what most MSM does today. Sigh, says the aging journalist working as a transcriber.
QUOTE TRANSCRIBED HERE:
07:45
BW: Malcolm, first thing, we saw today the Syrians put out the tape
of planes taking off of the strip where we had targeted the attack last night.
MN: Yeah it's a brilliant
piece of propaganda and it's- the best part of that propaganda is they didn't have
to make it up.
The attack that we saw today- and I've taken part in
numerous air strike operations and actual strikes- was that we projected
power. We did a demonstration of power,
and the president executed it quickly and decisively.
However
As General McCaffrey says, you have to have an
objective. It did reduce the capacity of
the Syrian Air Force, and did reduce the capacity of that airport- but what the
strike last night didn't do was destroy the airport.
And most importantly- and this is why you will see this as
a Mission Failure- they did not strike and destroy the chemical weapons.
So Assad, all he had to do was just throw them on a truck,
disperse them throughout other parts of Syria and quite possibly have them used
for battlefield rockets, or to prepare in case he feels that regime fall is
coming.
So Mission Not Accomplished, and in fact a political success
perhaps, but a military failure.
