They're Stalinists so dumb about history that they don’t know they're Stalinists

I am deep diving into Josef Stalin's rule of Russia to get a better idea what is happening now in USA.

Kay Ebeling

wikipedia first: 'Under his regime, an estimated 18 million people passed through the Gulag system of forced labour camps, and more than six million were deported to remote regions of the Soviet Union, which together resulted in millions of deaths. stalin supported European anti-fascist movements. then in 1939, his government signed the Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact with Nazi Germany, enabling the Soviet invasion of Poland after the start of World War II. Only then did Russia join the Allies.'

so, Guantanamo... Fort Bliss...

Stalin let 26 million Russian civilians die during WW2 a number I checked after Trump recently proclaimed 'russia lost 26 million' in ww2 as if that makes them allies or heroes.

Stalin let 26 million Russians starve to death during WW2.

Both Trump and Stalin brought revolution to their nations by forcing a radical economic theory on their countrymen, knowing many will suffer and die, but both stalinists and trumpsters believe that sacrifice is worth it, to bring about their revolution.

Yeah, I grew up in socialist Czechoslovakia, and I see it. Problem is, even after Trump is gone, many people on top will be invested in a dysfunctional system for the sake of power. Olivette Devaux‬ ‪@olivette-devaux.bsky.social‬

During the Stalin famines, everyone had to say, "There is no famine in Moldavia" "There is no famine in Ukraine." Wonder what Americans will soon not be allowed to say.

This blog post is still in progress. But I'm beginning to think we all got diverted by comparisons of Trump to Adolf Hitler, when it's Josef Stalin who wrote this playbook.

more wikipedia; early career

above stalin in 1937

in November 1901.[33]  he travelled to Batumi.[34] His militant rhetoric proved divisive among the city's Marxists, some of whom suspected that he was an agent provocateur.[35]

Though Stalin came from poverty, both men rose in their careers in spite of criminal records. From Wikipedia, as Stalin rose in the communist party, he 'raised funds via protection rackets ' and ' organised the June 1907 robbery of a bank stagecoach in Tiflis to fund the Bolsheviks' then later 'Mensheviks confronted him about the robbery and voted to expel him from the RSDLP, but he ignored them.[62] '

They voted him out but Stalin ignored them. So both Stalin and Trump share the trait of ignoring legal decisions against them and plodding forward.

Trump has been convicted of 34 felonies, and it did not stop him.

Stalin, who edited newspapers including Pravda, was definitely smarter than Trump, who makes up for his ignorance using wealth to advantage instead.

'In 1907 Stalin reassembled his gang,[67] which attacked Black Hundreds and raised money through racketeering, counterfeiting, robberies[68] and kidnapping the children of wealthy figures for ransom.[69]'

WOW THERE'S MORE WOWOW

STALIN rose up to leadership in the party through a 'personality cult'

HERE IT IS.

Stalin ensured his leadership by surrounding himself with low IQ loyalists, like Trump is doing.

'As General Secretary, Stalin had a free hand in making appointments to his own staff, and implanted loyalists throughout the party.[198]

'Favouring new members from proletarian backgrounds to "Old Bolsheviks", who tended to be middle-class university graduates,[199] he ensured that he had loyalists dispersed across the regions.'

'the desire for promotion led many to seek his favour.'[202]

more to come

Stalin lacked compassion,[646] possibly exacerbated by his repeated imprisonments and exiles,[647] though he occasionally showed kindness to strangers, even during the Great Purge.[648] He could be self-righteous,[649] resentful,[650] and vindictive,[651] often holding grudges for years.[652] By the 1920s, he had become suspicious and conspiratorial, prone to believing in plots against him and international conspiracies.[653] While he never attended torture sessions or executions,[654] Stalin took pleasure in degrading and humiliating people and kept even close associates in a state of "unrelieved fear".[605]
