When the priests got away with pedophilia thanks to the Vatican valuing assets over children, it opened the door for an incipient corruption, let loose a virus that quickly spread all over the globe, I think.

Consciously or subconsciously, it became acceptable for powerful adults to sexualize children, after about ten thousand priests were identified as predators in recent decades, and many still walk around among us, free men. 

People became inured to the idea of powerful men in high places being pedophiles. If priests can do it and the Catholic church is still in business indeed thriving, then why shouldn't other powerful men in high places be pedophiles? 

The Catholic church’s cover up of pedophile priest crimes set the tone for the world to accept an obvious playboy predator like Donald Trump as President of the United States. 

If Catholic priests are going to rape children and get away with it why not politicians, corporate CEOs, movie stars.

If only the Catholic Church had responded starting in the 1990s to the pedophile victim claims the way a decent humanitarian organization would respond, we might have a president today who's actually working for America and not just whatever Trump is doing.

Self promoting, setting himself up to rape more. In the name of the United States. 

The church set the tone and thousands of perpetrator-leaning humans jumped on to join.

Like Little Marco now working for Trump. Letting children get raped is worth it, if you are trying to get into position to run the world.
