'Destruction Of Flood | Relief Camps shut down | People Left Helpless | Heartbreaking Scenes' SAMAA TV Pakistan; Heating Planet at CofA Blog
SAMAA TV Report does not prove global warming is happening, as most do here at City of Angels Blog. It shows the sad devastation climate change is having on populations that are already destitute, which has always been part of predictions for a heating planet since the 1970s.

TRANSCRIPT of AlJazeera video
he floods have left thousands of 0:02 farmlands inundated. Valuable crops are 0:06 lost. The government is making every 0:08 effort to try to help the people. But 0:11 they're not alone. We are on a board 0:13 with the Pakistan Marijazi Muslim 0:16 League. They providing hot meals to 0:19 people who are now stranded on their 0:21 rooftops. They don't want to leave 0:23 because their entire life belongings are 0:26 in that house. So they are providing 0:29 them with medical care, fresh food. 0:34 The devastation caused by the floods is 0:36 unimaginable. Our party, the Pakistan 0:39 Macakazi Muslim League, is working round 0:42 the clock to support those affected 0:44 across the country. This disaster is so 0:47 vast that the government alone cannot 0:49 tackle it. It needs the support of 0:51 people like us to come forward and help 0:53 those in dire need. 0:56 But right now the catastrophe is too 0:58 large. Not just their property losses 1:02 but also a huge loss to Pakistan's 1:04 agriculture. 1:08 In these floods, we lost everything. Our 1:10 homes, our crops, all that we worked 1:12 for. Help is limited and there are too 1:15 many of us in need. Our children are 1:17 sitting under the open sky in sun and in 1:20 rain. We desperately need tents to 1:22 protect them as we wait and hope for 1:24 help to arrive. 1:26 As you can see, this was once 1:29 agricultural land. It was rich with 1:31 cotton crops, rice, sugar cane. All is 1:36 lost. According to estimates, Pakistan 1:38 has lost 60% of its rice produce this 1:42 year because of the floods. Between 2023 1:46 and 2024, Pakistan was able to export $4 1:50 billion worth of rice. Cotton is badly 1:53 affected. It It is the country's major 1:57 foreign exchange earner. And Pakistan, 2:00 of course, has to pay a heavy economic 2:02 price. It is not just the crops and the 2:05 loss of properties, but also an economic 2:08 loss that the country has to contend 2:11 with. India is already warning of 2:13 releasing more water. The meteorological 2:16 department says there will be more rains 2:19 and Pakistan's business forum is saying 2:21 the country must declare an agricultural 2:24 emergency. It does not all go well for 2:27 Pakistan and it will have a deep impact 2:30 not just on the people but on the 2:32 country's economy.
