side trip, the bears and me, out here on foot

Birds live this way, perched inside waiting for bad weather to pass so we can go outside and chirp. It's Humans who do whatever they want, nature be damned, drive into storms, roll over snow on nail-covered wheels. The birds and bears and me, we perch inside, ready so when the wind stops, then we can go out and rummage without having to fight the elements.
