There was a time when only the most experienced and skilled reporters were in the room at White House press conferences. They would have seen Trump was losing his train of thought and Would Not have even reported his mis-speaking. It was today's Click Whore News Media who made injecting disinfectant an international story at a time when 2500 people a day are dying of covid in USA and Trump's debt to China is coming due and children are still in cages at the border only now they have covid 19. PLEASE . the world is seeing how screwed up USA is on So Many Levels now, it's not just Trump, it's the brainless news media who created and developed him. Stop making Covid-19 into a reality TV show!

Whatever news org first published that T says to "Inject disinfectant" must have been working with the disinformation machine that is killing Americans right now. Trump did not say that, he was babbling about "injecting sunlight." It was a news outlet within seconds of T's words who put the words "inject disinfectant" in its headline, and it was so outrageous that Every Fricking News Group in USA right now is repeating it. And THAT will cause stupid people to try injecting clorox or wtf- and Trump has Plausible Deniability bk he was not the one who said it, that zany news media that babbles around him caused any dead people who try it.
Okay, I am not a trump lover. But the brouhaha going on now about disinfectant injections is ALL brought about by stupid news media copy and pasting each other. He didn't say that, he was mumbling he WAS babbling and the word inject did come out in the same phrase as disinfectant but he was talking about sunlight. The IDIOCY here is in the news media repeating "inject disinfectant" over and over and expanding on it. I am really upset that I seem to be only person who sees that. The REAL CULPRIT here is the person who wrote that headline "Trump says to inject disinfectant" and ALL THE MEDIA who then repeated it. At some point, the fake news gets ridiculous no matter which side it helps or hurts. This is one time when it's not Trump, it's the News Media that ran with this non story and turned it into something that's lasted now two whole days. And if anyone really does drink clorox bk of this, you can't blame Trump. I think he was genuinely trying to point out a possible treatment he had heard of, but he is SO DUMB he did not know how to say it. The real problem is news guys chomping at the bit to get clicks on their sites by making up outrageous quotes.
The brouhaha might have been orchestrated, maybe Trump mumbled the words on purpose, or it could just be Trump is so dumb, but the fact it's now an international news story is to me more shocking.
Every second of broadcast or bit of broadband taken up with stories about Why not to ingest BLEACH right now are times when we could be hearing real news. This is ridiculous

Trump did not say "inject disinfectant" that was an incorrect headline to begin with, and to me, repeating it is journalists sinking to Trump's level. I'm not defending him, I'm wishing News would stop lowering its standards more than it already has. He was talking about sunlight, a disinfectant, and then babbled in his empty head without words to express what he was saying. Watching news this AM, it seems this misquote is going to be a big story. PS wouldn't it be funny if physicists did find a way to inject sunlight?
