Just realized

Just realized, in few generations they may never use paper, everything will be electronic. Then everything will be easy to change, a news story can be rewritten, published letters to editor can be deleted if they stir up trouble...
I'm off work but still awake these hours, so thinking about how much things are changing and how different the world will be in ways that we can't see now.
Imagine, you read a NY Times story on the the website, no
paper, then go back to read it again and story's changed. You would have no record of what the original story said... hmm, we are already there now with small media outlets, blogs.
Bad people could really make use of that way to change news in bad ways... Activists would keep creating hard copy and mirror websites, or would they?
I miss newspapers thrown at nearly every front door, everyone reading same news, knowing same facts. We are only beginning to lose that universality now. In a few generations no one will remember what it's like to trust and believe what you hear in the news... or they just will trust and believe everything with no idea there are "alternative facts" out there, or there will be no facts, just relative truth, wow... humans are barreling through fast without thinking of consequences and I'm glad I'm at six thousand feet mostly disconnected just watching.

I can barely watch movies from last 3 decades. They always disintegrate into loooong gun fight scenes or embarrassingly graphic sex. Okay, we've seen the male penis, now what next...
I love old movies, they'd cut- leave you to imagine the sex, not stare at Kate Winslet's nipples with ADR added gasping orgasm in audio.
I don't know how we can see All The Guns in american movies and think that had nothing to do with the epidemic of gun violence we live with today. And maybe Donald Trump acts like a thug after watching Martin Scorsese movies as a rich kid trying to figure out how the rest of the humans act. . .
Cary Grant's voice... wow, any movie he's in I can just play and listen to his voice, and Michael Caine.
I think the downfall of USA can be tracked in our movie production over the decades.
