Russia is no longer the Enemy, they won. We are now all Russia. It took them more than fifty years but ... they are an old nation, and patient to let long term strategies play out. Americans are the neophytes and boy did the Russians snocker the USA.
At this point, best to stop complaining and learn about our new leaders. Read some of the stacks of books written by Russians last century as they tried to warn the world of just what we are up against. Find the movie Dr. Zhivago if nothing else, their books are thick.
Live in the moment and move forward, what else is there...

Putin started his career in Berlin when the wall fell. He never got over it.
Then his espionage campaign that destroyed USA included Trump's promise to build a wall. hmm
