Covid death rates OK by consumer product safety standards, says Trumpist local politician

One of our Board of Supervisors inferred that death rates from Covid are okay by consumer product safety standards at a recent meeting, bugging me so much I went back just now to get the exact quote, this is exactly what he said at 01:02:42 in video linked below:
"On the death rates, the Consumer Product Safety Commission bases product safety on death rates per thousand population or whatever. Dr. Williams, if you know, is any of that being considered in this analyzation or at a whole different level, in risk of, I think we're well below that in our region in California. But those are factors that are testable numbers that our federal and state governments utilize for product safety, to allow things to be done and I disagree with some of them. But again those are risk factors that are out there that can be utilized in something like this, short of shoving and restricting everybody. Again, I've always said I don't want anybody to die. But unfortunately when you go through Avian flu and Spanish flu, these things occur and at some point there's got to be a line of demarcation, where you're willing to put all your best cards on the table and you've got to move on. Because of what it's doing- the negative consequences of what it's doing to other people in high risk categories in drug overdoses, in abuse, suicides. Let's start looking at those death rates in comparison to Southern California's rates and we're exceeding them for those other reasons versus covid. Is any of that discussion going on amongst the public health officers and any concern for the other public that may or may not be affected by covid, Dr. Williams?"

How is this happening? Who is filling American heads with lies that make them attack each other?

It kinda makes me feel good when the rest of the world starts saying same things I've been saying for months or years and I start hearing words like "genocide" and "killing Americans without firing a shot" in the news. Only kinda makes me glad. These days it's more making me scared, as I'm seeing we are going in a Very Scary direction and…
I can't stop thinking that any day now people near me may pick up guns and start shooting "liberals." I even saw a meme that said, "Time to shoot all the Democrats" on the Facebook page of one of my low income senior neighbors. 
All it wil take is a few key words uttered at the right time by Tucker Carlson and the brainwashed will start shooting left-wingers all over the country.  (I'm only exaggerating a little bit.)  Fox News and QAnon watchers are primed and ready to start shooting, and already a bit wacko after months of coronavirus confusion. 
This is what it feels like when a very smart hostile nation attacks USA using disinformation to create Chaos.

I've heard it now several times on the news about Covid, Americans are being killed in numbers higher than any war, but "without a shot fired" and I've heard the word "genocide" several times in news, seen it in hashtags. 

Right now it's quizzical to me why so many of the same phrases are used by the "Nancys" calling police on black neighbors and "Gigis" staging events in stores by insisting on shopping without a mask then posting the videos.  "Go home" "Go home" you can find women in their forties and fifties and older, all over the internet, shouting at people who speak with accents. In one a little old lady comes after a couple waving a hammer. 
How are these people getting riled up this way? If I were an investigator I'd look into who is producing the media they consume.

A few weeks back I watched dozens of "reopen" rallies around the country on video, most of it citizen journalism, so raw and real. Over and over protesters repeated "99 percent of Covid cases recover, it's not that bad. It only has a one percent death rate."

Then last week the president of the United States said "99 percent of Covid cases recover, it's not that bad."

That statement is not true at all. How is this happening?

USA is now Rwanda

For days I've thought about the interviews I worked on fall 2018, survivors of the Rwanda genocide describing their frightening experience. Lately I keep remembering what several discussed, that in months leading up to the attacks they watched their neighbors acquire weapons specifically to kill them. One girl described her neighbor sitting right where she could see him from her window, sharpening a machete. When she walked outside, the neighbor said to her outright that he was getting the weapon ready for when he killed her. In Rwanda in 1994, one tribe picked up weapons and slaughtered members of the other tribe, people who they went to church with and their kids went to school with. The one tribe was convinced to kill their neighbor tribe by messages coming over a radio station for months. One year later in 1995 Fox News made its first appearance in USA and this weird brainwashing began that has created a new tribalism here. Lately I've been alarmed at how easy it's been for the Fox tentacles to get a large number of Americans to believe that a killer virus is a hoax. That same network of tentacles is behind the extreme arming of Americans. Right now there are more guns in neighborhoods in this country than anyone ever imagined ten years ago. Sometimes the way Boogaloo Bois and others display their assault rifles in public places, I think of those neighbors in Rwanda sharpening machetes in 1994 and wonder who orchestrated that genocide. We never really found out. Maybe it was a trial run, for what is about to happen in USA. Or for what is happening in USA, as false messages over radio and TV about Covid 19 are helping to get specific parts of the population killed right now.

The ongoing argument in USA about masks and virus hoaxes is a result of 30-plus years of disinformation. From Fox News to talk radio to the dark web, there is a population of Americans hearing "alternative facts" and for some, in rural small towns especially, disinformation is almost all they have heard for years, generations. Now those persons are groomed to be told a killer virus is not real and believe it. The main reason Covid is worse in USA than any other country is the blowback from science deniers/ Limaugh listeners who still think Covid is a Democratic hoax while people get sick and die from it all around them. Amazing. The real enemy right now is disinformation, probably written in Russia, but financed ?? someday we will know. But right now, People Have to stop Believing the disinformation, even when it comes from Trump himself. Please

Riot gear protects sheriffs from Natives burning sage during Standoff at Mt. Rushmore July 3rd

A cadre of "police" arrive, or at least their body barriers say "police" but they might be local sheriffs, say the newscasters. Every pocket of their brand new desert camouflage uniforms is stuffed with weapons devices tazers sticks. Each "police officer" has a brand new backpack and helmet with guns of various lengths dangling round their bodies in holsters.

Honest, the uniforms are so new, you can see creases, these men and women in camo appear to have just come from an Army Navy surplus store. They march to the scene like a group of tourists arriving at next stop on their itinerary.

A small group of Trump supporters can be heard yelling at the protesters but the camera never pans to them.

The demonstration started when indigenous persons near Mount Rushmore in three white vans pulled up and blocked one of the roads to the amphitheater for Trump's speech July 3rd.

They screeched in, piled out of the vans, then all down the valley people heard explosive sounds, calling out "a bomb? Guns, what's going on?"

The Black Hills Sioux demonstrators had pulled out knives and stuck them into the van wheels so they would explode and go flat, announcing the Natives' arrival with several Bangs. Plus now the vans couldn't be moved until tow trucks came from the nearest city miles away.

"I know there's a lot of heritage when it comes to ancestry and all that but is there ever a time when you just give this up, let this go? I mean, it's been a couple hundred years-" The demonstrator's answer is too far off mic to be audible.

All together about fifty persons lined up on two sides against each other about two dozen on each side.  The Sioux and supporters were behind barricades in heritage clothing, some on horses, singing Native songs, waving torches. Watching them, the sheriffs stood in line on their side, occasionally pulling out water bottles and cell phones, engaging in banter.

Now and then the sheriffs would put on gas masks and stand threateningly. Then you heard voices in the crowd saying, "Masks, they're putting on masks this could be it, here comes the teargas." A few minutes later the sheriffs would remove the masks and go back to drinking water and bantering amongst themselves.  That happened a couple of times in the video I watched.

At one point the Native Americans from South Dakota jumped to the middle of the two crowds with torches they lit on fire, causing the line of sheriffs in full riot gear to back away, yelling, "It's gas, it's gas," then they stopped retreating, realizing, "Oh it's sage."

The natives threatened the sheriffs with burning sage.

The ruckus came to an end when tow trucks arrived and took away the vans and that was the end of a standoff between police defending the Donald Trump performance at Mount Rushmore July 3 and Native Americans using the opportunity to tell the world the U.S. did not abide by the treaty signed nearly two centuries ago, that the very land where they stand belongs to the Black Hills Sioux.

As the group dispersed you could hear Trump supporters shouting at the demonstrators: "Go home.*

'Influencer Sonyas' are behind Reopen and Anti-Mask Movement, with backing of Russia (Fiction based on some facts)

Part of the training to be an Influencer Sonya is to develop endurance. 

Sometimes when Gigi is working a rally or protest, she shouts nonstop for six or eight hours, while operating a camera to document the event, and keeping her mind focused on which sound bytes to repeat. 

She'd answered, "I choose the name Gigi. I want to sound French," in 2006 when her handler Jacques initiated her into the Influencer Sonya Project, named for Cold War spy Red Sonya, who lived a double life as a housewife in Oxford, England.  

In truth Gigi Poirot was Rachel Feinstein, adopted into a Jewish family in San Francisco in 1978 at birth. She grew up antagonistic to everything liberal and left wing that people expect from a Jewish girl from San Francisco, 

By the time Rachel signed on to social media in the early 2000s, she was a semi-employed high school French teacher, and had spent twenty years enmeshed in the right wing political messaging that had blanketed the United States. So when Facebook opened, it was easy to find friends who agreed with her, and private online groups. Also in these groups were agents who worked in Russia et al, where Jacques was looking for prospects. Rachel was a perfect specimen.

It was easy for the Project to find American women in their thirties and forties, unmarried or long divorced, lonely but denying it so instead channeling passion into politics, especially politics that was "revolutionary" or "extreme." Rachel was a perfect prospect. So in 2006, she joined the Influencer Sonya Project, seventeen American women in their late thirties and early forties who signed on to go for training abroad, then return to USA with new identities, and move into carefully selected regions.  There they began a campaign of writing letters to the editor of local papers, speaking at city and county meetings, joining protests, then organizing protests, all to help disseminate the disinformation.  "Alternative facts" were the new weapon being used against the USA, and they all knew the project would take years, maybe decades, but the end result would be America destroying itself from within.

Jacques had seen it before, plump American women well past the age of attraction but still trying. He gave Gigi the smile he himself had been trained to give them, a glimmer in his eye of invitation, romantic potential but business first, a face he projects to new women recruits for the Project. 

Jacques had been taught to "Give them a promise, a hint, act like there's a spark between the two of you, keep them tantalized." 
Now here was another of these brainless American females, Jacques thought as his eye twinkled, and Gigi blushed.

After weeks spent at a campground somewhere in the Middle East with the other seventeen women, Gigi had learned voice techniques of an opera singer, adopted a rigorous exercise and diet regimen, and had listened to hours of educational tapes while half asleep Then Gigi returned to the USA where the project placed her in Newport Beach, California, in a luxurious vacation home rental overlooking the ocean. The owners were anonymous and asked no questions after receiving three years rent in advance.

Air BnB was great for housing Influencer Sonyas around the country, giving them autonomy and access to many communities.

Gigi spent two years at her Newport Beach home establishing herself locally as an outspoken Republican. When Donald Trump came on the scene, she supported him one hundred percent, as instructed in private messages she got from Jacques regularly.

By virtue of her endurance and tenacity, she could show up at a public appearance of a politician who supported Barack Obama and later Hillary Clinton and shout nonstop:
Obamacare gives insurance to eight million people and the rest of us will have to pay through the nose. 

And:

They should call it "Obama don't care"

And:

Regulation of corporations makes us all slaves to the state.

And:

Illegals flock to California for free education, free health care, free welfare.

And when someone mentions God or Jesus:

Thank you, Lord, Whoo hoo- I do love the lord, I hear that- whoo hoo-

In an office in St. Petersburg, Russia, the guys who operated the Influencer Sonya mission, to attack USA without firing a shot, would joke about how easy it was to recruit women in USA who were single, getting past childbearing age, underemployed, and already listening to radio characters such as Rush Limbaugh and watching Fox News as a source of information and gratification.  The messages on right wing media were part of the overall project, indeed the sound bytes were being researched written and produced in the same nondescript brick five story building. 
Once a generation of Americans were groomed by 20 years of radio and TV with the Project's anti-American message dressed up in red white and blue, recruiting Influencer Sonyas was easy. A brainwashed person gets a feeling of home-family-similarity-brotherhood, when they encounter another person brainwashed and repeating the same message.

The misinforming of half the American population did not happen by accident.

As soon as Gigi (still Rachel Feinstein from San Francisco) signed onto Facebook, she sought out others who believed Barack Obama was actually born in Kenya so not qualified to be president even after several years in office.  She found respite and comfort with "friends" who shared her belief that Democrats planned an insurgency against the rest of us, they're even coming to take away our guns, messages she'd heard and grown to embrace for years.  
Waiting for her in the folds of Facebook algorithms was a cadre of Russian military intelligence officers disguised as Americans who hated Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton just like her.  The connection was made.

Now in her backyard terrace overlooking the Pacific, Gigi sipped her tea and daydreamed of those early days, her trip to meet Jacques, who she first encountered in the "Hillary Belongs in Prison" private chat room.  Jacques worked her like a pro and she was soon endeared to him, enamored of him, without ever seeing him in person. After a whirlwind online romance, he bought her a ticket to meet him in London, and had sex with her the way only a professional could deliver. Then as she glowed in the aftermath, he got her to agree to be an Influencer Sonya.  
To this day, a high point of her life is text messages from Jacques, who always knew just what to say to keep her excited, enthused to do the work, and just a little bit sexually aroused.

She was vague if anyone asked how she could afford such an expensive home without a job, even glared at anyone who asked and never answered.  The project paid the rent on this private piece of property, with breathtaking views especially from the yard, and luxurious furnishings.  The project replaced her leased car every year with a new model, and direct deposited a significant amount of cash to her bank account monthly. 

If anyone got curious, the project had created an entire fictitious resume for Gigi Poirot, and posted it where anyone can read it on Linked In and other professional work related sites. It elaborated on her career as a private education consultant and French language instructor.  If you Google the name Gigi Poirot, you find no entries previous to 2010. Gigi never allowed anyone to get close enough to ask about her private life.

She created a fanfare around herself and was getting kudos daily from Jacques and his bosses.

By the time Donald Trump became President, Gigi had a network of more than three thousand persons in her social media contact list, who would go along with her and repeat whatever sound bytes she posted, as she carried out her assignments from St. Petersburg, Russia, instructions Gigi/Rachel first thought were coming from Jacques and a group of French nationalists. When he explained to her recently, in his special way, that the messages were actually coming from Russia in a coup to overthrow the United States, she again got that tingling between her legs.

In May 2020 Gigi took her fame to a higher level with her appearance at Target in Anaheim, where she went after reading a message from Jacque saying that 99 percent of those infected with coronavirus recover, do not die from the virus, so what is the threat really?  Plus those masks can cause a person to get C-O-2 poisoning. On YouTube you can see video of Gigi at Target that day.

Manager: Why don’t you wear a mask?

G:  Because I know masks are unhealthy, I don't want to breathe my own C-O-2 and get poisoned.

M: Just put one on while you're shopping here, please.

G: No I'm not going to do that, scientists all over the world say these masks are bogus. It's ridiculous, research shows there's more danger from masks than from the so-called virus. 

M: You're endangering my crew-

G:  [OVERLAPPING] no I'm not endangering your crew because I'm a healthy human being, okay, are you seriously going to question me, seriously, let's get rational here, this is America, land of the free, you're being stupid and ridiculous and act like you've never read a book."

Gigi then started to rant, while customers and employees tried to reason with her, she just pulled on her endurance and speech training and went on:

"I'm refusing to put my mask on because I don't want to, because I am just trying to buy groceries. I'm refuse to comply with your stupid rules to put my mask on.  Do you know how many health professionals say it's dangerous for you to wear a mask and breathe your own C-O-2.

"I have the right to not wear a mask in America," she shouts to customers who are angry at her.  "I'm not going to be a sheep. Do you understand the insanity of this for America and Americans, all these sheep wearing masks when it's actually dangerous for them?

"Can't you see that these are gestapo tactics at the grocery store door and checkout, Nazis throwing me out of the produce section, all because I'm not following your bogus mandate to wear a mask.

"Pretty soon they'll take all our rights away, and as an American Patriot, I'm tired of it. There's absolutely no reason for us to wear a mask."

Over and over again she repeated:

"Coronavirus has a 99 percent survival rate, so who cares if you get it, you're better off getting it and getting over it, than wearing a mask.  Quit being sheep, seriously guys, shame on all of you.  A 99 percent recovery rate and you're all wearing masks, you're all sheep, you all are the problem.

Customer: You're nuts.

G:  Okay and you are nuts wearing that mask for a disease with a 99 percent survival rate. You're all wearing masks like sheep, it's ridiculous.  This is what we're dealing with in America, this cannot be the new normal, this is disgusting and disgraceful, this is the disgusting new normal here at a communist grocery store."

The customers applaud when she finally leaves the store.

The video went viral and earned Gigi a personal phone call from Jacques on her private cellphone.  "You were wonderful in the Target store, but it's not enough," he told her and gave her new instructions. Next day, she told several friends she had a cough and sore throat, symptoms of Covid-19, and sure enough. Even progressive talk show host Thom Hartmann fell for the trap and reported that the woman who threw a fit about wearing a mask in Target in Anaheim is now reporting symptoms of Covid-19. All over Twitter and Facebook people posted about it, "Haha instant karma."  Now Gigi Poirot was one of the most influential of the influencer Sonyas.

May-June 2020, as California began to close and reopen and close again due to Coronavirus, Gigi used her influence to promote "Reopen" rallies from San Diego to Marin, hollering the same bytes she hollered about masks, words of tyranny and freedom. In several videos, you can see Gigi get right up in the faces of police who are trying to diffuse the situation at reopen rallies. She shouts with spit visibly flying from her uncovered mouth at the officers: "Do your job," and "We will not comply," and "Covid-19 is a hoax, how dare you as a police officer support a lie," etcetera.  

Gigi knew she herself could not catch the virus because every week UPS came to her door at the Vacation Home Rental in Newport Beach with a package from a laboratory in China, she saw from the return address.  Jacques texted her to grind the tablets and snort them directly into her nose nightly and she would never catch Covid-19 while it was spreading and killing Americans.

She snorted her daily pills and planned her next project.

From her instructions starting March 2020 from Jacques, Gigi could surmise that the goal of the Project was to infect as many Americans with Covid as possible. By then Gigi, formerly Rachel Feinstein from San Francisco, was so indoctrinated that knowing the sound bytes she repeated would lead to American liberals getting killed gave her a new kind of excitement. She felt the tingling between her legs but also a chest-expanding pride, knowing that what she was doing with the Project would help shave a good number of commie-leaning humans from her over populated country. "Clear up some traffic," she laughed to herself.

She arranged a charter bus trip for her followers for July 3-6 to go see President Trump speak at Mount Rushmore, and thirty of Gigi's "friends" signed up. You can see the women swooning at the mention of Trump's name in video Gigi posted. She instructs them, "There won't be any masks on this trip, we aren’t giving in to the plan-demic- we're individuals expressing our freedom and we refuse to comply with the tyranny of judges and so-called public health experts. We're going to see a speech by our great godly president whose blessing alone will protect us from any real or fake virus. It is fake, you know, we all know the Covid-19 virus is fake."

So, around Fourth of July, you could watch video of Gigi Poirot and her tour group on several websites, if you knew how to find them. She'd taken about thirty "patriots" with her on a charter bus from L.A., to Las Vegas then to Mount Rushmore in the middle of a pandemic where Americans were asked to shelter at home to stop spread of a killer virus. With Gigi constantly shouting, the group were off to "see our dear godly president" give a speech.

The bus was air conditioned, with air recirculating for the two-day road trip each way. Pre-arranged, two "super spreaders" of the virus were on the bus, infected agents working for the same people who paid Jacques and Gigi. They sat next to as many riders as possible, laughing in their faces, hugging, even kissing a few riders. 

In photos and video from that road trip to Rushmore, you can see Gigi Poirot, now tan and lean, surrounded by her charter bus riders. 
In those Rushmore videos, Gigi can often be seen making hand signals that Jacques and others once told her were a secret way to communicate that you are a patriotic, with other secretive patriots.  She later learned those hand signals were international signals for neo Nazis.

By then little Rachel Feinstein from San Francisco, now grownup Gigi Poirot from Newport Beach, believed neo Nazis are just passionate American patriots like her.
In the next weeks, several of Gigi's fellow travelers to Rushmore became sick with Covid-19 and each infected dozens of people in their hometowns, so many that contact tracing could only lead to "community" as the source of their disease.

In high school and later years, she'd had to search hard to find persons who believed the way she did. Until the 1990s, when Rush Limbaugh began broadcasting, and she found community among the "ditto-heads." Finally she had people in her life who shared her deep feelings that urban black gangs and Hispanic immigrants were destroying the USA.

The entire Influencer Sonya project was only possible because the USA had gone overboard with its First Amendment right to free speech.  It was easy to infiltrate and effect public opinion, enough to completely change the politics of the country, without ever putting an agent on an airplane.

The Project designers knew that for lonely persons, drowning yourself in  extreme revolutionary ideas somehow fills a gap that is missing in the life that has no intimacy, and America has so many women living without intimacy. 
In fact, a lot of the propaganda message broadcast on Fox News and other right wing networks is written specifically to reach women at this passion-needy level. 
In fact, when candidate Trump let his famous "Grab them by the pussy" line be broadcast, the guys in St. Petersburg had arranged it, knowing that a lot of lonely American women who they targeted would like the idea of a rough Trump grabbing them, even if only at a subconscious level.

The greatest president ever, amen amen amen" they shout as they leave the Mt. Rushmore amphitheater

He gives a speech full of predictable sound bytes, and worse, "We only kneel to almighty God" gets a rousing cheer. His supporters shout their love for the President, they are inches from each other unmasked expelling droplets, and Trump stands in front of them repeating phrases about an integrity he has never shown, describes an American hero "singing the words of the Battle Hymn of the Republic, as he died to make men free." Huh? Applause.
Then after fireworks that look like every other fireworks show I've seen, Trump sends his supporters back into the nation where they can shout "Amen best president ever amen amen" over and over in adulation, and spread more disease.

In 2017 as Trump became President, I got my passport and posted that I was leaving the USA. Several friends warned, better do it now, as the way Trump is acting, in a few years you might not be able to get out.

• A jet flew from the Eagle County Regional Airport on the afternoon of July 1 and made it to the Cagliari Elmas Airport in Sardinia on July 2 at around 10.30am
• The European Union has denied US entry to their countries since mid-March but extended the ban to two more weeks on July 1
• Sardinia's regional tourism official, Gianni Cessa, said he went to the airport late Wednesday 'out of a sense of solidarity' with the Americans 
• They were prevented from leaving the airport and kept in a waiting area, according to photographs of them posted by Sardinian media

No science evident in UK reopening that starts today

Like mad scientists the UK government is putting humans in an experimental situation, then stepping back to watch, with no idea what the results will be. 
They're putting strips of tape on floors in restaurants and other rooms where humans will congregate to keep them One Meter apart as opposed to Two Meters apart, which does not take into account that the virus is an RNA strand so lightweight that it hovers in the air for hours.  So once someone walks from one tape strip to another, they could easily inhale droplets from persons who had stood there before.

Business owners are relying on tests to decide if employees can come in to work, which means if someone has a negative test on Monday they are assumed to still be negative on Friday. In truth the employee could have been infected an hour after taking the test and have been infectious since then.

Now instead of just one family gathering together, two families can gather together… huh?

To me the UK reopening plan seems arbitrary, like they're making up rules without taking time to incorporate the science of how Covid is transmitted. Because IF THEY DID, they'd realize this isn’t going to work, the virus will find its way back into the community. So instead they're just reopening and issuing press reports about new ways they're serving ale in pubs.

Here is what I think is going to happen.

The valleys and cities of USA will get hotter at the same time Covid is allowed to spread.  Soon there is death and disease dominating life, along with a climate becoming unlivable. Many institutions are broken down, including law enforcement.  So roving militias show up in places with no advance warning, heavily armed. Mass shootings and stabbings, including bloodbaths with bayonets and machetes, become almost ordinary events in the fright filled land. 

The disease they used to call Covid that started in 2019 mutates. Now it blows in the wind so for humans even being outside can be threatening. Swarms of the RNA strands of the virus, like tiny flocks of birds connected by webs, carry the disease across counties and states.

Many humans survive the illness, and walk the streets with broken and bent bodies from residual effects of the virus. Persons who are blind and deaf beg on the street dressed in rags.

I'll still be here, in my Tahoe mountain top home. The town was long ago closed off to visitors.  Border patrols check every car coming and going on the three highways that come up the mountain, tourist attractions have long ago closed and are either boarded up or transformed to flea markets where the locals sell each other their used and homemade items. 

Groceries still get to Tahoe as well as internet access, unlike many regions of USA now. Since mansions dot the region and many autocrats, kleptocrats, and entrepreneurs who've profited from our years of chaos live here, basic infrastructure gets maintained here. I use delivery services who I meet in the parking lot. No one outside the building knows for sure which apartment is mine.

Luckily you can't see my unit from the street. This old apartment structure used to house low income seniors now holds whoever has cash to move in. There is no longer any subsidized rent as HUD, the federal department of Housing and Urban Development, no longer exists. I'm lucky I got in here when I did and, through a series of serendipitous events, I had the buyout money to be able to stay after the building converted to condos owned by TrumpPutin. Everything is owned by TrumpPutin these days.

My daughter used to come up from L.A. and stay with me but last six months the patrols won't let her through, because even though she survived the disease, she keeps testing positive, it's like there is so much disease in Southern California, she keeps getting reinfected. So even though I'm her mother in my eighties living here alone, she can't visit.

So I'm here on my own in a crumbling building, hiding. I only go out in the early AM hours to throw away my trash before most the other residents are awake.  I exercise by walking round and round the apartment or putting on music and dancing alone.  I arrange the light in the rooms and shades on the glass so that no one can see in the window.

Most of the time I'm safe here, but occasionally bands of gang members, agile and bone thin snarling angry people who roam the nation, can be heard out on the streets.  So I have spent several nights crouched in fear hiding in shadows, listening to them prowling right outside my windows, peering inside as much as they can, smelling, shouting, spitting. It seems, for infected persons, spreading their disease by spitting on people has become a political statement.

Somehow, in my eighties, I managed to avoid the illness that surrounds me and the madness that seems to be accompanying it.  I stay in my rooms, I have a stockpile of supplies and I go through it sparingly. I stay entertained, I never get sick, not even a cold, and seem able to self medicate any minor injuries. As the weeks pass, I try not to draw attention to myself, and wait for the pandemic to finally be over.

US scientists have found the first direct evidence that coronavirus could infect the human brain and replicate inside its cells, heightening concern about the disease’s poorly understood neurological symptoms.
