I'm like a character in a Sci-Fi movie. Aging crippled disgraced journalist finds her way to a small town in the mountains, gets herself into a secure hidden apartment; then watches the climate catastrophes she and others predicted decades ago come true.

I have to live in a state of isolation because I'm surrounded by people who have been brainwashed and believe journalists are the enemy, and they also believe that climate change is a hoax and anyone who believes in it is the enemy. Leading me to have this experience:

This is not the first time I've been bullied because of my reporting. When I covered the Catholic priest pedophiles crimes from the perspective of a survivor, I had to move three times because the bullying got so bad and that was before Fox News.
It goes with the territory, especially in the USA today, where there is almost no First Amendment anymore, and journalists have to live below the radar, for now.

Several times lately I've heard podcasters and comedians say, Everything is all one story. Me being alone aging dying in a scary place taking care of myself- because there is no government subsidized home health don't let them lie to you and tell you there is- ties in with the planet heating after Americans have been lied to for decades, Fox et al telling them that it wasn't going to happen. Today I share an experience with Planet Earth, being neglected to death.
In a Republican led county, government services are delivered as badly as possible so the Republicans then can say see government doesn't work. So in order to get home health care in El Dorado County california, you have to know somebody. It looks like it's set up so people who already have grandparents living at home can get a check from the government for it, even though they don't need it, and then a person like me who has no relatives or living friends anywhere, has to just fend for herself on $1,300 a month. No wonder America doesn't work anymore, all Trump did was take advantage of an already broken system.
