pre-election fears

This is scaring me. Before the last two elections that Trump won, Democrats had many reasons to think they were going to win, and sometimes they were already speaking as if they did win, and then a half hour after the polls closed it was Trump who won.

Now on a lot of podcasts, progressives are sounding like there's no doubt Dems are going to win in November, and that scares me. I keep remembering Elon Musk is in the wings; whatever he did in 2024 was never investigated even though he practically admitted he did something, in 2016 same thing.

In 2024, Trump was so lackadaisical about his rallies, it was as if he knew he'd already won. I wrote posts about that here on this blog, before the focus became climate; I used to just rant about whatever here at CofA 25.

In 2024 Trump did stuff that was so outrageous towards the end of his campaign that I thought it was impossible for him to win, especially when he acted like he was giving head to his microphone at several of his rallies, making his crowd laugh raucously. I didn't think the rest of the world would go along with that and when I saw it I thought oh that's it he can't win, but he did.

Trump is acting that way now, like he's already won the midterms, through his brainwashed mass of followers. And whatever is possible to do with today's technology to interfere with an election, Trump would do it. And Elon's back.

I'm having pre-election fears right now.
