Trump's Department of Energy has banned the words “climate change” and even “emissions” from all government reports and paperwork. At a time when the environment is degrading at an alarming rate, the USA is trying to pretend the problem either doesn’t exist. This is the type of thinking that always leads to catastrophes, as Ring of Fire’s Farron Cousins explains.

The Trump Administration and Republicans in general have been adamant recently that we are not Banning freedom of speech here in the United States- you are still free to say whatever you want to say as long as it's not criticism or anything bad about Republicans. Other than that you can say anything you want because we're not Banning Free Speech, they say, and then at the same time the administration comes out with a list.

The department of energy says hey, guess what, we're Banning more words at the department of energy. 

We're not Banning words, we're Banning more words than we had already banned when the Trump Administration came into power.

And yes those words include things like climate change, green, decarbonization, and of course emissions. 

According to a new directive from the Department of energy you are not allowed to use any of those words in the department.

I don't even know if you're allowed to speak them to coworkers.  and again one of the words is green. So if a coworker comes in with a nice new green shirt, you can't say hey I like your green shirt as that might be a fireablel offense at this point.  

You definitely cannot say them in emails you cannot say them in any official correspondence and you cannot list any of those words or say them in any government Department of energy reports.

So no more climate change no more green anything.

So when talking about coal and oil and other fossil fuels, don't say emission. Maybe say smelly smoke, right, chokey gas. 

I don't know I'm just spitballing here since we can't use what they actually are called.

Almost 10 years ago we got that Climate Change Report you know the big nasty dire one that said we've basically got 13 years to reverse course before the effects of climate change that we are already seeing likely become permanent. I believe that was you know 2016-2017 and it was 13 years was the number 13 years basically by 2030 if we haven't pulled back and stop some of our emissions- eh- this is just the way life is now and it will of course continue to get worse. 13 years was a lot of time we have the technology to do it but every year since that report came out, I've ticked off those years for you I said now we got 12 11 10

The clock is counting down 

Folks, this is not a joke this is not something oh well maybe if we get a democrat in there- 

The next Democratic president only has the possibility of being sworn in on January 20th of 2029, and that's basically the deadline.

that's the deadline. 

This Administration is not only going to keep emissions as they were, they want to increase them, they've made that clear. We want more fracking we want more oil exploitation we want to get rid of electric cars we want- they got rid of fuel economy standards which costs you money by the way you're spending more on gas more frequently.

They're increasing emissions at the crucial point where where we as a species cannot afford to do this, yet here we are, we're doing it, and the government is Banning their own employees from even having the right to talk about it, or to even tell you about it. thanks for watching everybody-
