CA coastal flooding continues w each high tide- Brent Weldon reports from Newport Beach- Oct 28 video & many screen shots at Heating Planet Blog

Extreme coastal flooding continues across Southern California as record-breaking high tides and elevated ocean water levels continue to impact beachfront communities. Today, Oct 28, 2026, we're back out documenting the flooding and showing just how much water is still pushing into coastal neighborhoods, roads, and waterfront properties. While conditions were slightly better than yesterday, the flooding was still severe in several areas, and many communities continue to deal with the effects of these unusually high tides. The combination of extreme high tides, elevated sea levels associated with a Kelvin wave, and recent coastal erosion has created major challenges for communities along the Southern California coastline. Yesterday's flooding was even worse! I'll continue documenting the flooding, beach erosion, emergency repairs, and coastal conditions as this event unfolds.  VIDEO: Record Breaking High Tides Continue | Extreme Coastal Flooding in California Brent Weldon Oct 28 2026

Burning fossil fuels is heating the planet. We are now seeing sea level rise. The water from melting glaciers and polar ice caps didn't just disappear. -ke
