UPDATE Monday AM- Vance and the Nazis part two- Around 3 am the news on France 24 reported that in Germany's 23 Feb election, their new Nazi party, the AFD, is now predicted to come in second, maybe even win, after they were energized with increased popularity, thanks to our VP JD Vance meeting with them over the weekend.
SUNDAY- Around four am the voice of JD Vance woke me up. I had fallen asleep with France 24 on a tablet and here was the vice president of the United States two days ago saying election interference by foreign countries is freedom of speech, and it's not fair for Germans to stifle Nazis rising to power today in the AFD party in Deutschland. i can't stop thinking about it.
Vance was telling the Germans to let the new Nazi party rising up in their country have more rights. He sneeringly referred to their national decision to keep Nazis from rising again as being against freedom of speech. Vance made a horrible joke that the Europeans should be able to survive Vladimir Putin in their elections if Americans had survived teenage activist greta Thunberg criticizing us for a few years.
Vance held for a laugh after that line. The room was
silent.
The vice president of the United States just encouraged Europe
to let its Nazis have more freedom to propagate.
