The cash settlements that went out to some survivors may be another parallel between pedo-priest and Epstein crimes for this series, I thought, but I didn't yet see that connection. Then as I was putting dishes away I heard this monologue from the other room, and it gave me the chills because it looks like Yes, here is yet another parallel between the crimes of 10,000 Catholic priests, as uncovered a few years ago, and the crimes of Jeffrey Epstein being discovered now.
Apparently, large sums of money are used to silence victims of both Epstein and the Catholic priests, although no one came right out and said that's what the Vatican and the United States Bishops were doing, it just automatically happened; because when survivors got a million dollars or more all of a sudden in the bank, they didn't feel motivated to be activists anymore. I experienced that first hand; I watched plaintiffs who were involved in every demonstration or activity about the pedophile priests, some dating back to the 1990s, just disappear after they got their checks, even though they swore they would never. Meanwhile, the rest of us who got maybe five figures or Nothing At All In settlements, were split into a different group. We couldn't afford cruises and shopping sprees so the Pedophile priest activist movement split almost in half

So I was looking for a way to warn the Epstein survivors to watch out for large cash settlements because they often come with behind the scenes agenda, and I heard this dialogue:

Committee chairman James Comer stated that lawmakers wanted to uncover whether Jeffrey Epstein was involved in drafting the NDAs, writing the terms, or allocating the funds to women. You're going to hear about the work he did for Leon Black, so it's very possible he could have been involved in all that.
The fixer allegations.
The committee is investigating claims previously raised by Senate Democrats that Epstein may have acted as a fixer to secure the

silence of women who were paid tens of millions of dollars. And then shared accusers. Lawmakers noted that more than one of Epstein's accusers had also previously accused Black of sexual misconduct.
Lawmakers are seeking to determine if the NDAs were used to suppress those allegations. I'd say that's all pretty relevant. It's all pretty relevant.
