Actually, the USA was invaded through Disinformation over a 20 year period, beginning in 1995 when Fox News was placed on our cable lineups, then the Disinformation accelerated. They expanded the attack into AM Radio, where, with a few corporate maneuvers, everything but Right Wing Talk disappeared. Then came the internet and websites such as Breitbart and Mediaite and Weekly Standard where they could repeat each others’ misinformation, giving the anti- American propaganda even more credibility. The persons behind the coup, probably Saudis / Russians, were likely amazed at how easy it was to put false stories and anti-American ideas into U.S. culture.
By the time of the 2016 presidential election, a sizable portion of U.S. population was enmeshed in false facts, something the rest of us talked about, even documented with charts and graphs- remember the studies that showed if you watched Fox News you were less informed than someone who never watched news at all?- yet the false stories continued.

At this point I think it's too late to stop this coup. Obama tried to “investigate Fox News” when he first took office in 2008, and, well, we saw what happened to him.
Americans dumbed and malaised themselves right into this. It's going to take an invasion from NATO to stop the corporate fascism that is now developing here, probably.
Meantime, I'm only going to be on this planet another 10 years or so, and I'm unemployable as a journalist because I wrote about pedophile priests. So, all I'm going to do now is watch from my mountain resort by a lake, and wish humans would have been smarter.

Now the U.S. Coup is reorganizing the CIA and FBI, probly to now answer to global corporate thugs.
I really hope someone stops this soon. Meanwhile it's an amazing story to watch.
this is what becomes of a nation that engages in endless wars for profit. you turn into a global criminal enterprise. If they could have stopped Trump, it would have happened by now.
Prepare for a life dominated by crime in high places. Too late now folks, all I can do is watch. and be pissed at EVERYONE who fell for this and either did not vote last election or voted for Trump. They are responsible for this.
They voted for Trump bk he was funny and aroused their inner hatred. Now we all get to live with the consequences and it ain't going to be pretty.
The coup is even bribing Americans now with a few extra dollars for the first few months of 2018 so they won't fight back.

In a few years climate catastrophes will dominate everything anyway. Trump and his guys won't matter then, so for now they are going to scale as much cash off the top as they can before everything falls apart.

I predict a climate much like Pasadena when I was a little girl in the 1950s, here in South Lake Tahoe in... 5 to 10 years.
