As glaciers melt and polar ice evaporates, what happens to that moisture in the atmosphere of Earth? I asked Google AI just now.
Answer: direct evaporation from the now-exposed water bodies adds water vapor to the atmosphere, following the water cycle through rising air currents to form clouds, which eventually lead to precipitation, continuing the cycle. However, this increases the total amount of water vapor in the atmosphere, amplifying warming because water vapor is a greenhouse gas.
Blogger: AI even offered me up that nice photo
Blogger: I have a theory. Sudden cloudbursts and flash floods all over the planet this year are from this release of Extra moisture into the atmosphere at such large amounts. You can see flash flood cloudbursts in dozens of videos posted here at CofA25 Heating Planet recently; because as Earth’s ice melts, not only will sea level rise at coastlines, but all over the planet the liquid water level will rise.
