Empty Houses are magnets for squatters

Leaving thousands of homes empty in Tahoe is creating a future safety and security issue for our city.

In New York City right now empty apts and buildings are filling up with squatters and once they are in, there is almost no way to get them out. The Vacancy Tax is at least trying to eliminate hundreds of empty homes and make them available for people who live here. You'd Think the Association of Realtors and Law Enforcement would be in Favor of the vacancy tax as it is at least addressing a growing problem.

Ari Zucker expressed concern about squatters in the interview she did with Cristi Creegan posted last week on YouTube. "6:46 Then there's the possibility of- because it's such a thing now is squatters. So you never know what. Nobody wants to rent right now because nobody- we're so uncertain."
