When the Soviets took over Russia in the early 1900s, people who were once elegant were now discussing agriculture products in bulk, commodities, adopting peasant values; today the smartest people are yammering about diesel and urea and soybean crops. I've always felt that what Trump is doing is much more like Joseph Stalin than anyone else in history, but I think Trump studied many dictators to get to this place.
