The Right made up a new Jesus to fit its politics - Bill Maher

Wandering around YouTube one day I came across a video of "Most Exciting" moments from Bill Maher. Six minutes into the collection a segment begins about the new Jesus that Conservatives had to create to go with their politics, "a small businessman from Galilee" (pictured above, video is embedded below), so funny it caused my jaw to drop in laughter, and drew me to my computer to get down what he said:

"To show just how little these Christians on the far right believe in what Jesus actually said.  .. in order to be both Republican and Christian, they had to create an entirely new Jesus. We don’t only have two America's now, we have two Jesuses now. It's true.

"Liberals have the traditional Jesus who hated rich assholes and wouldn't shut up about how they should give away all their money. 

"But conservatives made up a completely new Jesus. 

"A small business man from Galilee, [LAUGHTER] whose main gripe is big government, who wants to make Nazareth great again.  I call him Supply Side Jesus. [LAUGHTER] [APPLAUSE].

"He'd love to help the less fortunate but he's got investors to think about.  Like the time Supply Side Jesus performed a miracle and created a bounty of loaves and fishes and then gave them all to the top one percent so they could trickle down to the takers.  [APPLAUSE]

"Or the time Supply Side Jesus came upon a leper who asked to be healed, so Supply Side Jesus bought the company that makes leprosy medication and jacked up the price....

"In conclusion I would just like to say that Donald Trump is actually the perfect candidate for today's Republicans because he says that his two favorite books are the Bible and The Art of the Deal.  Trump says one is about a perfect god who teaches humanity how to live and the other is The Bible."

I mutter in my kitchen almost Exact Same Words as Hillary says in her speeches about Social Security. Women who put their families first can end up with Nothing To Live On In Our Old Age and finally I hear a politician talk about it. For this one reason I may go for Hillary (note, I still have not decided which Dem to vote for June 7 here in CA )
"Because Social Security started in the 1930s, a lot of women have been left out and left behind. And it’s time that we provide more benefits for widows, divorcees, or care givers—for women who deserve more from the Social Security system, and that will be my highest priority."
Social Security ASSUMES women will have husbands who provide them with pensions to live on. But look inside low income senior housing any city in the US, you find women who live on as little as 400 a month, give us a break!!!

I give up on doctors, today was the last straw. They are all OWNED by the pharmaceutical industry in the USA and if you Balk at taking yet another drug that has worse side effects than what they are treating while they refuse to give me what will actually help me, screw 'em. I'll go to Google, if I die, oh well, everybody dies, but at least it won't be from some stupid pharmaceutical that I should not even be taking. They practice mean medicine here, I'm going to just self medicate, self treat, try to get to the source and, you know what? Old people die. that's life. Meanwhile no more waiting rooms, no more begging for attention from distracted arrogant assholes who can't even take time to read my file before pulling out their Rx pad. Kick back city, I'd rather go swimming, take a walk,go to the bar, anything but go to another doctor's office. If I have an accident, heart attack, fine, i'll talk to a doctor, but these people are owned and profit motivated. Man, I wish I lived in a socialist country. Meanwhile, thank GOD for medical marijuana, it ain't the be all end all but at least it makes me feel better. Doctors are supposed to make you feel better, but not in the USA. No drugs for you young lady, just ignore that heroin dealer next door to you and live with your pain. Fuck you doctor fuck you fuck you fuck you.

man, apartment hunting is an invasion of privacy, as my bank info, employment, moving history, and SS number are now all over the place, copies of my driver's license seen by dozens of people wow. I hand them twenty dollar bills and a stack of all this personal information, then they still don't rent me an apt so I have to do it at another place again, and again. wonder how many times my identity will be stolen after this, sigh

Where is my lollipop. I never leave doctors offices feeling better. They poke prod and stick me measuring my pain, they make me hurt more, and then there's no toy when I leave. Where is my Rx for 20 Valium, take as needed? Can't have good drugs as those can be addictive, get into the neighborhoods, yada yada. I come home feeling worse than when I left and my neighbors are smoking heroin in their perpetual party. Hmm.
