Information Warfare making us self destruct

Information Warfare: spend 20 plus years flooding nation with anti-govt propaganda so that when the time is just right, like when Homeland Security and FBI funding is up in Congress Dec 2018, that is when you pull The Shutdown and a good 40 percent of population thinks it's a good idea. NOTE: this is after a few shutdown dry runs beginning around 20 years ago to see how the USA responds to shutdowns, always in the protective cover of that right-wing propaganda. 
Innocent civilians are casualties of war all the time. Today, U.S. Government employees are innocent casualties of information war. Also, FBI and others with covert $py information are working without pay, slowly breaking their spirits until they finally sell their secrets and abandon USA.
This whole thing, from Fox News showing up on cable TV sets in 1995 to Americans tuning in and- uneducated bk of right wing policy to cut public education- believing it. It's all one big information warfare attack on USA and we are in the Midst of it now and most Americans still haven't figured it out.

just watched report on France 24 about far north cities in Russia that are prospering now thanks to climate change, as routes of passage across the arctic have opened that they never could cross before. Whole new industries are developing in Russia's far North, connecting to Finland, cutting a month off of shipping times.
In case you wonder why Trump is not concerned about climate change. Vladimir and his guys are benefiting from it.

This Whole Right Wing revolution is rooted in the writings of Ayn Rand, who came to USA after WW2. Her books are mostly an extreme reaction to Communists in her home Russia,  and her words became the foundation of "Libertarianism." 

The idea came from Russia...
I just think that is a funny coincidence.

Libertarians Ron Paul and Newt Gingrich were the first to close the govt in 1995 while Rush Limbaugh cheered from his perch on Hate Radio. Now in this revolution in 2019 the Russians seem to have gotten to right wing politicians such as Ron's son "Rand" Paul through media characters such as Rush Limbaugh and in backroom deals.
Right now a libertarian coup is causing the U.S. govt to make policy that is destroying the USA, including a government shutdown that no one balked at in early December, bk shutdowns have been done before.
It all started with one Russian girl Ayn Rand coming to USA and getting a job writing in Hollywood which you just don't get without connections. Then she started writing looong mesmerizing books full of the new right wing political rhetoric.

Watching downfall of USA from my laptop continued

That line in Trump's speech last night re building a wall because "they love the people inside'' could have been written by a professional propagandist in the Kremlin.
People build walls "not because they hate the people outside but because they love the people inside,'' our President said. 
We Are All Being Set Up. 
It works better when you say the line with a Russian accent:

Very persuasive line as it leads you off the lemming cliff.

Something very creepy is going on in USA w Trump Putin et al, happening in increments, so we only see a little of it at a time. I think there was no accident in that line from Trump last week, "Enjoy the ride" as that is about all we can do right now. I'm sitting here thinking that govt shutdown in 1995 was first of a couple dry runs, same year Fox News showed up on everyone's cable lineup. Putin and his friends militarized misinformation and right now we are experiencing the results of 20 plus years of infiltration and ... mesmerizing, mind controlling a large part of the population to go along with it, mostly on Fox with red white and blue sets and anchorettes in short skirts, but also with hate radio permeating rural America, and local cells flooding local papers with letters to editors and the St. Petersburg troll farm. It all worked together to bring us Trump the puppet president and the USA's self destruction, which is entering a new phase now.
"Give me five billion dollars or I won't reopen the govt."
The USA is held hostage.
I have known many Russians in my life and one characteristic they don't have that Americans have is a trust in govt, a belief that the people in charge will make things right. Americans are really pretty naive. We've only been around 250 years, Russia's been around a lot longer. 
I think those of us living in USA right now need to develop a more crafty attitude. Many Russians I've known are parts of black market networks and have underground secretive ways to make things happen where no one trusts anyone. You can't expect anything in govt to work, even if there is a law saying it should work.

This is a slow moving coup
They took over the USA without firing a shot*, using... journalists basically, and very persuasive PR people. At least no American cities got bombed. Some of us may end up better off under our new colonial leaders.
I'm ready to just ride this out for now and see what happens next.
Hope I live to read the analyses of this whole thing 20 years from now.

it's like watching a bad movie, tonight the Donald takes to the air to declare a national emergency that doesn't exist after setting us up with the last 2 years of chaos. The USA is soon to be run by a dictator on Twitter.

My Will

When I die, and I will eventually, I leave all my DVDs and books to the El Dorado public library, South Lake Tahoe branch.
Musical instruments and NASA papers and paraphernalia donate to local public schools.
Money: I don't have enough for it to matter, use what's in the bank to pay off the credit cards.

USA et Roma

The USA lost 4, 5(?) wars last 50 years and with incredible hubris declares itself still a victor. But looking all around, dealing with institutions, I see a third world nation in the making, a banana republic, where you will have to always keep a stash of cash on hand to bribe or otherwise buy needed services that used to be done by govt. Budgets are draining and in every city we have humans living on streets, begging. We Are a third world nation and we are vulnerable, like Panama decades ago. Glad i live near a lake

The USA today resembles post World War Two Italy in many ways. With our faded grandeur, long gone honor, and crumbling buildings and roads, Americans claim to still own an elegance that is actually no longer there.

In France there are massive violent protests now over a gas tax meant to get people to stop burning diesel fuel. Middle class French people (the original bourgeoisie) are outraged that they may have to change driving habits in the French government's small effort to stop global warming, and right now the bourgeoisie are burning down the Champs d'Elysee. 
Which shows me, there's no place left to go. 
Just ride it out (and ride my town's new electric buses) knowing at least I'm not contributing to the problem even though it really is too late to save the planet. That's the saddest part. Only persons who will be able to live comfortably on Earth in twenty five years or so are residents of higher latitudes such as Russia.

I am still shadow blocked on Twitter. I was posting about how Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal, co-founder of Fox, also funded start-up of Twitter and ever since, the only posts I write on Twitter that can be read are in comments. I have no idea how to get a shadow block lifted, but I think it may be bk I ID'd myself on home page as a former PAO* for the US government and Trump backed by Russia/Saudis first act as President was fire all the PAO's.
This ain't the USA anymore. Like I used to say two years ago and am saying again now. I am not a US citizen anymore, I just live in Tahoe.

Since one of the smarter women in my senior apt bldg announced Sunday she's still boycotting football bk of how disrespectful some players are during the National Anthem, I have been muttering to myself, "How is taking a knee and bowing in prayer being disrespectful?" But after bad experiences in last two housing places I've lived like this, where I had to leave bk hostility towards me from neighbors got so bad, i bit my tongue.
I just now identified one feeling I have since Trump took office: Americans are now billiard balls rolling in all different directions because of a really bad pool player with a stick that needs more chalk.
