No, Democrats are NOT pushing for Nazi type gun control:

Nazi gun laws of 1938 specifically banned Jewish persons from obtaining a license to manufacture firearms or ammunition. Approximately eight months after enacting the 1938 Nazi gun laws, Hitler imposed regulations prohibiting Jewish persons from possessing any dangerous weapons, including firearms. The difficult question is how to characterize the Nazi treatment of the Jewish population for purposes of evaluating Hitler's position on gun control. Truth is, the question itself is absurd. The Nazis sought to disarm and kill the Jewish population."

The Nazis only took guns away from Jews, Homosexuals, and the same population that later ended up in concentration camps. Nazis took away their guns as part of a growing oppression of certain persons. Nazi rulings on guns were nothing like anything going on in USA now. I had to look this up again to refresh my memory of World History, and it took 5 minutes to find confirmation.
I'm concerned as Repubs keep bringing up this "Nazis took away guns" reference as an argument against gun laws in USA. Once again, the American right is twisting history to meet their agenda.
