TRANSCRIPT:

I'm Vic Meyers. Welcome to the resistance. Hey, what's wrong with this picture? I mean, besides my ugly mug, what's wrong with this picture? I'll give you a hint. It's November 16th. It's about 10:00 in the morning and it's 70° outside here and I live in Colorado. See those mountains right there? No snow. If you could see the Sangra Christos even farther over, no snow, Colorado, folks. This ain't normal.

It's been like this all November. And every time I step outside, I can't help but think about how this administration and the Republicans have shut down every green energy, climate change initiative that they can.

1.02

They've stopped construction projects on wind and solar. They've given our green energy economy to China. outright given it to him, said, "Hey, Xi, you go ahead and make the best electric vehicles. You go ahead and make all the batteries. You go ahead and develop all the technology that we will one day have to buy instead instead of continuing to fund that science here."

Meanwhile, about a hundred miles up the road, there's a coal fired power plant that's scheduled to be shut down next month. Yeah, they're petitioning to keep it open for another year. And Colorado politicians are helping them. I think I read that Governor Polus was one of them.

[Insert headline: Gov. Polis’ administration moves to stop a Pueblo coal plant from closing by the end of the year]

Folks, I'm going to be dust by the time it gets to be really bad. But I've got wee little grandkids. What are we doing to them? What are we going to leave my grandkids?

Primaries are coming up. The primary season starts in January. We've got to make sure that in addition to Epstein, in addition to fighting for democracy itself, in addition to the economy and unions and regulations, all that stuff, in addition to all of that stuff that's so important, we can't forget that we've got to address climate change.

Make sure that the candidates you're supporting in the primaries support the Green New Deal. Cuz like I said, I'll be dust, but my grandkids can't afford for you not to. Good day.
