2- UTAH local report: floodwaters damage homes, temporarily close roads in parts of Southern Utah Sr George News Oct 12 3 PM Pacific time Several emergency personnel have 0:01 reported heavy flooding throughout areas 0:03 of southern Utah Saturday morning. Some 0:05 of the areas affected include Pine 0:07 Valley, Gunlock, New Harmony, Damron 0:10 Valley, Washington City, Leverkin, and 0:12 Hurricane. Sergeant Lucas Alfred from 0:15 the Washington County Sheriff's Office 0:16 says most of the roads that were closed 0:18 overnight have been reopened outside of 0:20 some exceptions. 0:22 So, um, as far as the floods went last 0:24 night, they had some road debris that 0:27 closed some roads temporarily. our 0:29 county roads department was out until 0:31 probably 2:00 this morning um working on 0:34 things as it came in. Um they were able 0:36 to um get most of those roads opened at 0:39 this point. Um I'm not aware of any that 0:41 are hard closure in the county except 0:43 for Colob Canyon Road in Zion National 0:45 Park was just closed due to rock slides. 0:48 Other emergency personnel in the region 0:50 are reporting flooded homes, lightning 0:52 strikes, and the possibility of more 0:54 rainfall Saturday afternoon.
