The Ugly American looks good compared to today

More I learn about spies and traitors in USA, it's always about money and greed. Our values, where he who has most cash is most revered, makes it easy for foreign agents to find Americans to turn. It's easy to buy us, as we are forever grasping at easy riches. Seems to have started in 1980s with guys like Aldrich Ames and Robert Hanssen, and it's gotten to where now many Americans will sell out their nation for a condo in trump tower and a chance to be on TV.

As the slow moving coup continues, one by one USA leaders begin to realize something is going on, but time goes on as they call for hearings of what they are not yet sure. And as the days click on in this presidency, I wonder how much American intelligence and resources are flying out of the White House while Humpty Trumpty dances on his imaginary wall

I am a world traveler now. On Google maps. You click on the little yellow man and walk around in any city in the world, and never lose your wallet, or even have to open it. Along the way little ads pop up to tell you that all these hotels are totally out of your budget reach anyway, the people Google images found walking around are mostly homeless pushing grocery carts, you realize there's no place like home, turn off the computer, and go outside. Walk around the block and you've been to Paris London or Rome in one afternoon, and no one held you up in an airport for looking too American. sigh

I Look Forward to news stories we'll get now that CNN et al are Not Going to Trump press briefings, as now maybe reporters will put on tennis shoes and beat down doorways to find the real news stories; people who attend press conferences and get on first name basis with PR guys are not reporters. Tearing up Constitution throwing pieces back in our faces

I think I was in third grade first time I learned about “separation of powers,” in fact the teacher’s face was glowing as she delivered the lesson, as everyone who grew up in America got their education on U.S. Government with a dash of religious fervor.  Americans grow up loving the Constitution and Founding Fathers as if they were godly.

Yet first thing this new president does is dismantle Separation of Powers. 

Everything that comes out of this White House seems to lack that reverence the rest of us grew up with, almost as if this new government is throwing pieces of our Constitution back in our faces as it tears it apart. 

Sigh. Sitting here on my laptop watching the coup take over my nation. Will anyone ever have reverence for America again?

I can't escape to Canada as thousands of people who are in real danger need the resources at that border. Mexico, however, is looking better to me, but more like to go stay in a hotel and have a cabana boy bring me margaritas for a week or two.

Today I am accepting that a foreign power has control of the US government and we are now being sucked dry of resources, this is what happens to a nation that conducts illegal wars, we are now Occupied - acceptance makes it easier to grasp and understand the Trump presidency. not sure there IS a way out of this, but I think we are paying for aggression in Korea and every corporate use of our military that took place from then on. We went from being a City on a Hill to a War Crime nation, to many, and apparently the rest of the world is not letting us continue. I'm not saying the good guys won, just that... we lost. This is what it feels like to lose one war after another. You ... lose. You watch the winners gloat. You look forward to post-Occupation and look for ways to make it stop, but for now, we are Occupied. By acceptance, you stop wasting time going, look at what they are doing, and trying to make sense of why they put people who are against the agencies in charge of the agencies. Accept that they want to tear us down, stop pointing out what they are doing, THEY KNOW it, and no matter how many times you shout about it, THEY ARE GOING TO CONTINUE TO TEAR US DOWN piece by piece and it is not going to be fair or ethical or even in most cases legal. Don't waste time pointing out that what they are doing is against the Constitution as They are Not American so they don't care. Wow, and today is President's Day, a national holiday in what used to be the USA.

I used to be sad that I felt so much like a visitor to this planet, and not a participant. But as I watch events unfold, I am today GLAD to be a tourist on Earth. These humans are scary with potential to Share Hatred and create a force. We all say Nazi Nazi but truth is we have no idea what is growing now, it's like a new festering cancer, and as an eternal science writer on tour of the universe I watch with fascination


Is anyone going to make a tax payment by April 15? Do I have to give up my grocery money to finance more grifting weekends ($3 million a trip) for Donald T? No. I won't. I refuse.
